I would like to know what is considered the proper colors for a Western NY Erie wood depot, such as Avon, NY. Are the current light green/dark green colors of the ex-Erie Avon depot more or less correct? Any insight to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Yup, there's a depot in Chemung with the same paint scheme. That was the colors Erie used. It's a private home now.

Check out the station in Industry, south of Rochester.

There is also the station in Cohocton which is a lot closer for you in Hornell, and the stations in Atlanta and Avoca are painted that color as well although I believe those are DLW stations.
