First Post! :P
I am looking for information on any empty locomotive shops anywhere in the US. Ideally I am looking for a facility that would be capabile of being returned to an heavy industrial shop. I know shops are closing all over the country but most of them are bulldozed shortly after closing. So If you know of a location please post to this thread.
Thanks!

The Old ALCO Locomotive shop in Auburn, NY closed down last June of 2006 I'm not sure of whats going to happen the building but you might be able to get info from Bombardier / Auburn Technology last known when the plant was running it was making Subway Car parts. It dose have Railroad access with track running into the South Side of the building all that is needed is the reinstallation of a switch hooking it back up to a near by rail Yard.
