emoticons or smileys

the Smilie buttons don't seem to work. A way around it is to use the old fashioned kind. Do you remember when computers were young and we had to use chisels to make those triangles in clay tablets?
Type:), if you leave a space before it it'll show up as a regular graphical smilie.
Type;) for a wink

Jeff and I and others have been reporting the smilies, and BB code icons being broken for some time.

I'm hoping now that the news site has been launched, the forum will get some touch ups.
