I was wondering how long this Locomotive may have been in service. I am also looking for any info on the red/silver "War Bonnet" scheme as far as wether EMD FT was ever used to haul freight on Santa Fe RR? all I can find for sure is that it was passenger.

The Santa Fe had FTs in service from 1941 to 1965. The passenger FTs in red warbonnet lasted from 1946-1953 before they were returned to freight service.
