Members and Friends,

We have arranged with the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad to sponsor three excursion trips over the former Lackawanna Railroad out of Scranton. Scheduled to pull the train is the newly restored Erie E8 833, as well as historic D-L Alco locomotives. All seating will be in historic climate-controlled long-distance passenger cars. All trips will run roundtrip from the Radisson Lackawanna Station in Scranton, PA.

On Saturday, November 10, 2007, we will run an 8:15 a.m. roundtrip to Tobyhanna, returning approx. 11:15 a.m. Only coach seating is presently available for this trip. Light snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets for the Tobyhanna trip are $29 ($24 for members).

On Saturday, we will also run a 12:15 p.m. roundtrip to Cresco, returning approx. 4:45 p.m. In addition to coach seating, we will offer limited First Class/Pullman seating on board our NKP Pullman City of Lima, and the NY&GL Chestnut Hill. First Class will include snack service. Light snacks and beverages will be available for purchase as well for everyone. Coach tickets for the Cresco trip are $38 ($33 for members), and First Class/Pullman tickets are $75 ($70 for members).

On Sunday, we will run an all-day excursion to Analomink, which will include photo-stops and station tours. Once again, coach and limited first class seating will be available on this trip. First Class will include a breakfast and lunch buffet. Light snacks and beverages will be available for purchase, and a box lunch will also be available for coach passengers. Coach tickets for the Analomink excursion are $49 ($44 for members). Box lunches will be $10, and will include a drink, chips, apple, cookie, and a sandwich of your choice (ham, tuna, turkey, or roast beef.) First Class tickets are $129 ($119 for members).

We hope to finalize specific equipment by the end of the week, and we will post this information on our website at www.eldcps.org.

ELDCPS Members will get first crack at reservations until October 12, 2007, when we will open up reservations to the general public. Orders from Non-Members received before October 12th will be kept in pending status until Oct. 12, then will be fulfilled in the order they were received.
