Here comes our first negative comment on this subject.

I have to admit we have some friggin idiots who work for the railroad. Why in the world would you knowingly let a trespasser ride on a train? Oh, I know. Because you are a lazy bum who doesnt want to miss the three hour Love Boat special on NBC. You have got to be kidding me. Union Pacific pays out over 30 million dollars a year in civil lawsuits from trespassers who are injured on our property. The same people who post here saying they don't care about trespassers on their train are the same morons who bitch because their pay raise won't cover their internet porno habit. Guess what? The family of the trespasser you let ride on your train and fell between railcars has sued UP for two million dollars and won. There is your friggin raise. Honestly, what they (*%^ are you thinking letting someone ride a freight train?

Here is a story for you.

A train crew leaving their home town knew about five trespassers riding in a gondola car but didn't care because they were leaving their home town and thought these trespassers are leaving my home town so let them ride and get out of town. In this gondola car, which was filled with grain, there is a packet of poisen to help keep rodents from entering the railcar. One of these trespassers stepped on the packet causing the contents to spill. The contents of the packet became airborne, and unknowingly to the trespassers, began to fill up their lungs. The trespassers jumped off the train about two hours later. 24 hours later I get a call that a hospital has shut down its intensive care unit due to five people who showed up with an unknown illness with four of those five having already died at the hospital. They were only able to get "Rode on a freight train." out of the last one before she died. Two of the five were under sixteen years old. Come to find out the poisen in the packets shuts down your respitory system when it comes in contact with moisture. Guess what. Theres moisure in your lungs. The parents of three of the trespassers successfully sue the railroad. The hospital also successfully sues the railroad. Five people died because of a train crew just like the ones here telling "Their Stories of Trespassers on a Train." Great job of railroading by our finest crews.

Nice fiction, but do more research if you want to be taken seriously. A gondola car of grain? Your credibility just vanished.

Also I can't believe that if the only thing authorities knew was "rode a freight train". they could pinpoint a specific train, a specific car, find the bag of toxins, and get enough evidence to make it stand up in court.

Please spare us the phony BS posts! I don't believe a word of it.

There's so much wrong with this post, I don't even know where to start. I guess you have more experience, trying to remove tresspassers from your trains, than the rest of us do. I had the pleasure (?) of running from Brownsville, Tx., to Kingsville, Tx., every other day, on that pool, while working for the UP. The amount of illegal alliens riding a train, on any given day, might range from one, to thirty, or more. You obviously, have never attempted to remove illegal riders, from a train. You have never been in the situation, of having to keep rolling, while waiting for someone to come to your aid. Ever see someone run from the train, hide in the weeds, and reboard, as soon as you start moving again? "sorry DS, I'm gonna have to stop yet again, and walk two miles of train, again, while yet again trying to remove the illegals, again"..... How many times can I do that, and still have a job? I might not ever reach Harlingen, for the hordes of people boarding the train, every time it slows to under 15 MPH. You ever been there? I doubt it. You don't sound like you've spent ANY time, running a train. Internet porno? What the hell is that? Why would my raise be tied to it, and why did YOU mention it? Sounds like your hobby, not mine. Grain in gons, and later, you worry about a rat poison paket getting moist? (here's a clue. the packets contain solid pellets of rodent poison, that will kill a rodent, through dessication, after it is ingested. there is no airborn threats from it, nor from handling raw pellets, as long as you wash your hands, afterwards) Funny, such a tragic story was never picked up by the media. Seems it would have been headline news, on all the major media outlets. UP pays out 30 Mil., in civil lawsuits a year? Well, counselor, where did you get those stats? Are you now in the claims department, as well? Imagine a hospital shutting down it's intensive care unit, because some sick people arrived. Kinda like KFC shutting it's doors, because it was suddenly over-run, with a busload of hungry tourists. Maybe you should stick to the porno sites, you seem so familiar with, and leave the very real, very serious job of running trains, to the skilled crews who are called to run them, and save your guesses, for your porno-trivia contests, or whatever it is you do, while hiding under the desk............................. :P Just a thought.

LMAO a real live know it all DS well smack my grandma sonny you have no clue. Grain in a gon with poison???? Wow theres a funny one.

If you want to lie about trains no prob. But stay out of hospital lies. If your ICU cant handle that case load you give them a ride on the bird to a larger facility. YOU NEVER SHUT DOWN YOUR ICU!!!! Its called a legal action waiting to happen and you tier up with a larger facility ( every hospital has said protocols) Plus this supposed rat poison that affects the lungs sounds suspiously like Anhydrous contact.

Another fact if its moisture activated whats it doing in an open car?? and what good is it if the rats aint eating it???????

SO anyhow you want to say I am a bad railroader so be it, I dont watch the Loveboat ,never did. I work 8 and off usually cause in yard service right now so I dont worry about 'Boes. If you feel frisky and want to assume you know it all we can meet for coffee and you can tell me about how pathetic we all are I only live a few hours from you and Ill buy.

Oh and I dont have an internet addiction to porn, I get mine in little brown wrappers on DVD and in magazines ( that my wife subscribes to thank you) so get your story straight and maybe next time you can pull the wool over all our eyes. But I doubt it.

Before I forget. All the railroad legal departments have BUDGETS for said reason. To fight what they can and settle with losers like you.
