The 3000 is closer to being returned to service. When I was in Scranton 2 weeks ago, there had to rework the coupler rods to bring it up to FRA specs.
They freed up the stuck turbo and I was told that some engine work had been done also.
GVT looked at the 41. They are not planning to buy this unit. Frozen prime mover.

Alcodoc would be best to answer your question regarding the C425's.

No plans for 2029 as it requires alot of work. Belongs to Ed Bowers.
Ed Bowers owns 3 locomotives that are being stored for him. 41,2029
and the FPA-4.

DL 324 stored.

211 was running, but will require some wheel work.
212 is work in progress. Cab getting a complete makeover.
I don't know when the 3666 will go back. I hope not for a long time.
Its is presently in best place it could be....the DL.

I stopped by Scranton about dusk on Saturday and D-L 3000 was idling in front of the shop coupled to 212 which was not running.

At least two C-425s were on the dead line behind the shop but I did not take note of the numbers.

I could not find the normal road power although I did not spend a lot of time looking since I still had 90 miles to reach home and I had been travelling since early morning.

Those engines sounded really good as I waited at Cresco for a photo. Could hear the rumble for some time before they made their way around the curve.

Unless the doc found some good parts, I doubt the 4118 is running as i beleive it had a snapped crank or somthign along the lines of that. LastI seen it was on dispaly in steamtown

I have a picture of what I thought was 4118 from July 31, I will double check that though, perhaps it was the 4103. Thanks for the heads-up Nova.
