A bit of photoshop fun I have been working on! :P

1123 wasnt supposed to be green and red!
Her new streamstyling was designed and built "in house" at the Scranton shops, she emerged in a classy monochrome
all black and bright chrome scheme, along with her three streamstyled sisters.

While out on the road earning her keep, 1123 went into the Elmira, NY Roundhouse for some routine maintenance, and emerged a few days later in bright green and red! :P
management was shocked!
They had no idea this was going to happen!
apparently it was a well executed "prank" by the Elmira roundhouse crew!
1123 went back into service, and instantly became a sensation!

For more on the story of how 1123 got her colors, and a great history of the all the Lackawanna "streamstyled" engines,
I highly recommend the book "The Merchants Engines" by Jeremiah J, Sergue.
Published by the the Erie Lackawanna Historical Society.
