Don't get excited and drive miles out of the way, folks. This is no Readfield. P-Oops-RU picked a switch, or something shoving COVERED HOPPERS (press has no clue sometimes...) into DeCosters. They had one almost back on the rails over an hour ago. The other could prove a little more tricky as it looked like both ends of the car were off. I passed a PAR 2500hd on 106 heading back towards Portland. Small crew on site with more MDOT than PAR trucks, the situation was clearly under control. Maintainer and a boom truck. Would have gotten no press coverage if it had resulted in closing a road for several hours.

We used to derail practically weekly on the Adams branch when I worked there lol. But it was out of the way so no one cared.

A couple cars hopped the rails......whoopie. Man they would have ruined their pants if they heard about the chemical train derailment in Nashua a year or so back.

It really wasnt anything that would have gotten any attention if it hadn't closed the road. Its a daily occurance on the Madison Branch...and many of their other branches and running tracks.
