Where ever Beacon is selling it. The first one did not go to CMC.

Hmm, maybe they're selling to someone out of state then. Curious if they'll ship other stuff out by rail in the future. I noticed they had aluminum in bales there.

Dinaso as of Tuesday. The building foundations are being removed. What you guys think the chances are of this site being reused for any sort of rail related purpose?ImageImage
At Adelphia Road, lights are going up! Looks like a similar setup to what was used at Seventh Street will be used here.ImageImage

I agree with PDtrains. The Jewish Community is very tight there and they have developed/redeveloped a lot of land. I am sure it will be housing like the many neighborhoods that they have been building these past years.

You don't really see businesses putting in rail sidings unless they expect a massive amount of business. The cost of switches, construction and maintenance make it much more cost efficient to transload somewhere.

The 53' domestic container is the modern day carload freigh box car. Railroads are increasingly in the bulk freight business. The majority of all non-intermodal road freights these days are covered hopper cars and tank cars. Wahts left in actual box cars seems to be 50% 60' high cubes, used for their high capacity, and otherwise 100ton 50'ers handling lunber that u cant handle in a container. Also a lot of centerbeam flat cars that handle a huge amount of lumber. Gondolas seem to be mostly relagated to the steel industry or construction debris needs these days...

Are there any warehouses left that receive finished merchandise by rail in box cars?

@@pdtrains define merchandise

2005 with 5 for Woodhaven and 2 for Reed Perine.

At Dinaso, the area where the main storage building was is now a giant hole with some trash next to it. Image

No. Working Woodhaven with 2005 and 4 to drop at Woodhaven. They have a car for Beacon as well. That will get dropped on the way back.

At Dinaso Lumber, the foundations have been filled in with sand...Wouldn't they be putting in new ones if Townhouses are gonna be built here? Image
