Dearailers dont work that good

I just wanted to say the other day a derailment was left down on a green track at the yard and the train went right over it stayed on track the whole time. the switchman just stood there on the walkie talkie not even knowing until about 4 or 5 cars went over it like a speed bump. I also found an ibc that was left on the track that could of derailed a train it was diced in 2 pieces. buried in the asphalt next to the rail.

Isn't that why BNSF banned the portable derails?

If they were not banned before they will be after last night lol. Had one pop up and put a car airborne and sideways! No major damage.

I think what you mean to say is a DERAIL was left UP. A derailMENT is what did not happen in this case.
