It was 1947-1950. I've posted below comments made on the video on the Erie Lackawanna forum by David Monteverde, a Dansville native:

In the film DL&W LACKAWANNA GM Train of Tomorrow the route is all double
track for the entire trip as it takes us on a trek out of Dansville NY my
hometown MP318.6 to about 7 miles to the east of Wayland
http://www.youtube.com/user/jlebaron1#p/u/2/FXCUlwzmofA It has nice shots
of the Dansville depot, some classic chrome adorned buses; then the
dignitaries warm themselves around a tie fire, maybe an early spring trip?
The eastbound ride takes us up the many curves on Dansville Hill-second
steepest on the DL&W next to the Poconos, under Rt 63 to Wayland, then under
the back road to Perkinsville. Then over a continuing sinking mud section
track that EL management said was one of the reasons they chose the Erie to
Buffalo vs. the Lackawanna. There was actually a little MofW shanty-not
shown- on the curves where I presume a watchman was occasionally posted. The
GM Train then continues past the Perkinsville depot, not shown and through a
location the DL called Wayland Tank at the west end of Wayland's DL&W/ PS&N
interchange yard not shown to the right of the train. The Lackawanna had
left the Genesee watershed and entered the relative flat down grade main now
in the Susquehanna water shed The train passes an admiring crew of westbound
F3 equipped freight in the siding, just past the west leg of the wye curving
off to the left!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT GREAT stuff!

Thanks, what a fantastic video.I've taken many hikes along that section near Mill creek, west of Perkinsville. If I could have ridden the Lackawanna, the stretch between Dansville and Bath would have been my first choice.Any idea exactly where the siding with the freight train was located. Thanks again.

That's a pretty cool video........I really wish I could invent a time-machine and
see that stretch of the old Lackawanna!
