Saw an ad in the December RMC magazine for a Creamery in the Kingston NY area. Quote" It was served by a branchline connected to the Delaware and Hudson".

What branchline would that be? The Ulster and Delaware which would connect at Oneonta to the D&H? Thats a heck of a branchline if it is!

That branch did connect to the Delaware & Hudson in Oneonta up until I think around the '60's or 70's, but the Ulster & Delaware was the Catskill Mountain branch of the New York Central.

Ditto that. A long reach but it's correct.

Any chance the reference was to the canal, not the railroad? The D&H canal terminus was in Kingston.

I doubt that, since it was about rail, the Ulster and Delaware (NYC) linked Kingston with the D&H.
