EMD delivered 25 SW1001's to the Reading in 1973. They were SW1000's with low cab roofs, to fit into industrial sites, such as steel mills, that the Reading served in the Philadelphia area.
I got a good shot of CSX SW1001 #1122 in Pavonia Yard from the NJT River LINE train on Saturday morning.

This completes my set of three paint schemes on ex-Reading SW1001's.

and NS black, also photographed in Barrington, on January 28.

It looks like CSX and NS kept the trademark Reading gutters.
Nice Pictures!

Cool pix, Bob. As you know, these li'l RDG pups have a sentimental vaue for me, as I still see them regularly at work on RDG rails. Nice catches on the CSX Bright Future, Conrail Quality, and NS Horsehead schemes.

There were also a couple in CR can-opener (no-Quality) and NS regular (no-Horse) scheme...tho these may have vanished with recent repaints.

That switcher has some pretty big shoes to fill if she's gonna live up to that RDG number. Cool pic, Bob.
