Well today could be considered a success. We started off early leaving the house around 6:10 and getting down to the tracks by 7:18. CSX wouldnt disappoint us as they put three trains through in 15 minutes. These are what they were

Work Train (Southbound): 7:32 AM
CSX 2331
CSX 6415
CSX 5836 (B36-7)

L169-27: 7:32 AM
UP 9045
UP 9028
CSX 7749

Q268:7:43 AM
NS 9782
CSX 7360

I havent been taking pictures but instead taking video because i am working on a midterm project for my media class.

While L169-27 passed us NYSW train SU99 departed heading westbound to Binghamton, NY. After Q268 passed we drove up to Butler and caught it first. It made a great site but i have it on video. I only got shots of the train at Victoria's Inn in Hardyston and at Warwick, New York. Here are the two shots i got at Warwick.

Thanks for posting, Jeff.

A daylight SU-99 is relatively unusual on the east end, Friday was a good day to chase it.

With the NYSW these days anything can happen. With the added traffic from the garbage business they run at anytime now. Some weeks will go all night though but once they get out of whack in terms of running times anything goes and two daylight trains in two days is pretty lucky to see.
