Hey forum. Does anyone know if CSX will have different operations due to the fact that it will be July 4th this weekend? If you know and could post here that would be great. Thank you.

i heard that regular CSX sunday jobs will work (not 100% sure) but nothin will work out of Middleboro, Readville or Framingham yards on Monday, July 5

CSX, like many companies, will observe the holiday on Monday July 5th.

Nothing running out of Readville, Middleboro, or Walpole Sunday.

Only jobs that I am aware of that will run on Monday night are the "feeder" type jobs B725 (Framingham to Attleboro) B726 (Middleboro to Attleboro) and B731 (Readville to Framingham).

What route does the Readvile to Framingham (LB731) take? Do they use the NEC or Dorchester freight branch to South Bay?

Paul, they use the MBTA's Franklin Branch to Walpole, where they then turn onto CSXT's Framingham Secondary track and head north about 12 miles to CP-21 on the Main-line in Framingham.

(usually depart Readville around 1230to 100AM)

Everything seemed to be running in Buffalo, saw a LOT of vans and stacks......Q380 had a long merchandise and mixed in a lot of military Hummers and other equipment. Turned out to be really busy.

The Riverline turned out to be pretty busy also with a lot of trains in the morning hours.
