CSX Lurgan Subdiv derailment at Hangerstown Roundhouse Museum

No injuries were reported from a Sunday afternoon train derailment along South Burhans Boulevard in Hagerstown's West End, according to a Washington County 911 supervisor and a CSX spokesperson.

"At approximately 1:35 p.m. on Sunday, a CSX train derailed eight cars at the CSX Hagerstown Yard in Maryland," CSX spokesperson Austin Staton said Monday morning via email. "There were no injuries resulting from the incident and there was no danger to the public. There was no impact to the main line, and no leaks, spills or releases reported. Police assistance was requested as local citizens were beginning to crowd at the museum nearby."
