CSX detours over NYSW

Are we all aware that CXS is detouring Q-156 and Q-271 over NYSW from Syracuse to Little Ferry this week?

In fact, 156 is currently in Binghamton (Thurs., 5 p.m.) and it may be combined with SU-100 due to a shortage of rested crews.

Keep on slammin' them 100 lb. sticks w/the 6 axle locos !

Is CSX only on detour this week or will this be going on for a few weeks like last year??

This will be going on for the next few weeks. Add the SU-100/99 turns and the NYSW is a pretty busy railroad indeed. More detailed posts can be found at the NYSW yahoo group.

Watched some CSX do some detours today at Ridgefield Park and got some photos of it from the old station. Will post later though...
