With the marathon passing Framingham station and csx branch lines between miles 6&7 of the marathon. Is csx halting all rail traffic till the race is over, because on the Boston.com interactive map the description reads " it's here in 1907 that the race was temporarily interrupted when a train switched tracks and halted all but the lead pack of six runners." this is for the framingham area only.

Marathon will be long over by the time the Middleboro local leaves at evening rush. Fitchburg Secondary isn't impacted at all because that avoids the grade crossings. At most a Readville run would've been disrupted, but they can always wait until the road reopens. They don't keep 135 closed nearly as late as the roads closer to Boston.

Ok thanks f-line. I was thinking they would shut down rail traffic on all branches in the Framingham area due to railcars being needed on each side of the B&A.

in the past they have also been afraid of crowds that line the street along the ROW in Framingham where the street is close to the track (concord st and Bishop st). concerned that soneone would run across the track and not see the train, also that people have set up (chairs tables etc) near teh tracks too.
