18 cars this week (but only one engine). What's the longest train in the history of this thread? (Anyone going to go back and read through 560 pages!)

(Anyone going to go back and read through 560 pages!)There was a post about 7-9 Years ago rumored to have some 6 axle wide cabs come down at night with 50+ Boxcars for Earle. Dont think anyone actually saw it and was just heard on the scanner. Cant say whether or not it ever really happened.

No word on how many cars or the current location though.

The last 6 axle power was a pair of CSX engines on a LONG train that backed into NWS Earle, probably 15-20 years ago. The locos stayed behind the gate/fence at NWS Earle (by 84 lumber!) for a few days and somewhere I have SLIDES (this was before decent digital photography) I believe the loco numbers were in the 3 digit sequence.

And the SD40-2 with the gondolas tied down in Lakewood on a rainy late spring day: http://octrainguy.rrpicturearchives.net ... id=1637753
