Should make Bank by 4:10, a little earlier than usual. They tryig to beat the rain? I would.

Just in time for our weekly Thursday major storm, this one with tornado watches (re- News12NJ). Be careful out there.

Watching the radar live. They should make at least Farmingdale before it hits.

Yeah, Pretty much anything between Washington and Boston is considdeered East - West. Some of the short lines (like RBMN} might be North - South.
Everthing in South Jersey is East of PHilly. Everthing N, W, SW,NW & S of NYC is West. The Southern's trains run East to Essay, Then West for the rest of the trip to Lakewood.
From the 1976 Conrail ETT Number 3 for all of the CNJ. Regarding the CNJ Southern Secondary, in Table 14 it says:
"The direction from Bank to Bridgeton is Westward."

That was 1976 - I think someone earlier in this thread said it may have changed to N/S since then.

Must have got hung up on NJT. Maybe delayed at RARE. If they stay at 10 mph and don't dawdle they'll make F'dale before the rain.
EDIT: 4:51 pm, storm sped up. Probably raining in F'Dale now. But no lightning. (Nearest is around Wlkes Barre)
EDIT: 5:18 LIGHTNING near Phillipsburg and Paterson. Hope they can finish Extech soon.
EDIT: 6:00 Major lightning cell just N of Trenton moving ESE toward Lakewood. Wish I could get this info to SA31. Sources Nat Weather Serv and Lightningmaps.org

Did they pick up Extech?

NWS just issued a tornado warning for the area where they are sitting. Most of that section is in a cut, so they'll be below grade, (I used to live a 1/2 mile from there and know it well.) One of the safest places to park during a storm. (Under I-195 cut)

I’m picking up the EOTD transmission from Maxim. Couldn’t hear it earlier, so I guess he’s moving.

The tornado warning for this area is supposed to expire at 7:45 or so
