For anyone interested in what is inside EMD's E and F units as well as Alco PA's and DL109's, Mr. Preston Cook will present his program What's In Those Covered Wagons at the November 15th meeting of the Amherst Railway Society. The meeting is free and open to all. If you have previously seen any of Mr. Cook's programs such as Inside EMD you know you are in for a treat.

And my thanks to the Amherst Railway Society and their officers and webmaster for the excellent job they do in getting the information on programs out in a timely manner on the website and in their monthly meeting notices! This kind of support is very much appreciated and makes it a pleasure to do programs for this group.

Did anyone attend last night's presentation? If so, what did you think of it?

There will be a showing of What's In Those Covered Wagons at the Palmer, MA, Public Library on Thursday April 27th at 6:00PM. This gives everyone a chance to see the program, check out the library and visit the Steaming Tender for dinner.

DCM74 thanks for your posting about this upcoming event. Just so everyone is aware, this program was originally developed for use as an afternoon session at a convention and is TWO HOURS length (add to that any time spent on questions, which we do AFTER the presentation), so please be prepared for it taking the full two hours from 6PM to 8PM for this program showing.
