I agree with the last post. Last might I had a short train (2500'). Much of the line is undulating, so I need to make lots of throttle changes. On top of that, the alerter was going off too frequently. I'm only 5'9", but I cant put the seat far enough forward, without hitting my knees. I felt like I would be a hunchback by the end of the day.
I like our new ES4400 engines, although the first order still has the desk. I don't like the headlight dimmer position either, but the table is in the way. The EMD version seems to have no logic to the location of any of the switches. The new SD70-2 cab is a stupid layout. I wish that they had left it the same as it has always been on all of the previous models.
