guys, a report was published back in march by the army corp of engineers, detailing the history and right-of-way of the wharton and northern. i've just finished reading the 106 page report, and it offers an interesting glimpse into the histories (albeit briefly) maps of the early routes, modified routes, conrail routes and right-of-way as it exists today. maps and pics are scattered throughout the report, as the lines were proposed for national historical significance, to determine of any parts of the lines and their associated infrastructure warranted status as historical, for preservation.
