Are all of the chop-nosed geeps with the white face former Conrail units, or has NS really chopped the noses on some of them?

Actually alot of them are former N & W, and Southern. So, they are in fact chop-nosed. There may be some ex Conrail units in there, but I know most are N&W / SOU.

What is the numbering for the ex-Conrail's and the ex-N&w and ex-SOU chop-noses?

Of the 81 units rebuilt so far- 80 GP38/GP38AC and 1 GP50, my information shows only 2 ex Conrail. The others are all former N&W or SOU. units with the noses chopped. The "GP38-2's" are numbered 5501-5580. The GP50 converted to a "GP38-3" is numbered 5801.
