Took these images yesterday of some oddities, and thought I would share with the group.

This Air Force 80-tonner appears to be OOS. There are always trucks parked here, and no available shot. Lucked out that the lot was clear yesterday.

Then, the former Kaiser Fontana SW1500s are now working for a consortium called California Steel Industries.

Finally, other places have street running... in LA we have freeway running.

Cool pics. I dont know where Devore CA is but at Cargill they have an ex-NP GP-9 as their switcher. Have you seen it or are familiar with the area. I know it was there as of 2005.

Nice shots Charles;

Don't have to go too far to find people that freak out when they see a train running down the center of a Freeway, or Highway.

Apparently there are those in Orange County that have not experienced that phenomenon. A good friend and his family recently visited us using the Ten Freeway to get to us, and sure enough here comes Metrolink as in your photo. They flipped out. After we explained what was going on and calmed them down, they admitted it was a great idea, since it posed no hazards to traffic and actually encouraged people to ride Metrolink, especially if the train goes by you at 80 mph, and you are in bumper to bumper traffic.
