How many substations are still standing? I know there is at least one at Prince Crossing on the CA&E.

The other surviving CA&E substation is at Clintonville, just south of Elgin.

It's just a quarter or a half a mile west of Route 25 on Kenyon Road, which is the first road north of Bartlett Road in South Elgin. If you type "Kenyon & Barry / South Elgin / IL" into Mapquest, it will give you the approximate location of the Clintonville sub.
