Buyouts

Heard some scuttlebutt about buyouts recently. Anyone know anything? Business is really down and they're paying people not to work. It makes sense to me. Buy out the old guys; not too many of them left. Run the company with the young guys who can work much cheaper.

Also, does anyone know if you can transfer your engineers license from one RR to another?

I would consider asking this in "Employment Forum." Most of the past/present railroaders just
hang in that forum. Most railfans are in the NS/CSX forums, etc.
