I would guess that it would be the ex-NYC between Chicago and Cleveland.

Probably between Elkhart and Englewood.
GTW (CN) crosses the chicago Line at South Bend, and west of Porter there is additional Amtrak and CSX traffic.
East of Elkhart, good location is Butler where ex-Wabash mainline (DET / STL-KCY) crosses and CP traffic goes west on CR.

I can attest to shlustig's statemtents. I used to live near this main and my office was across the street. It's pretty much the busiest railroad I've ever seen other than the throat tracks of a commuter station at rush hour.
