Good morning everyone, I know this topic doesn't directly relate to New York railroad activities and with that being said, I felt seeing that this was a former President of the United States and one that was very supportive of and instrumental in the continued success and viability of United States rail operation's, that an exception was in order. Its been many years since a former President was transported by rail to his final resting point, and what is especially unique is that the leading locomotive will be the up4141 heritage unit. I happened to see this particular locomotive one early Sunday morning and was awestruck, mostly because it was the first heritage unit I ever seen in person. I my opinion of all the heritage units out there this is definitely the prettiest and the one that gives you the most sense of pride in this country as it passes by. I wouldn't be surprised if this transport will be televised live. Here are a couple of nice Sunday morning reads that may be of interest.
