Buffalo Bolt Company N Tonawanda

Came across an article on the long gone Buffalo Bolt Company that had been on Oliver Street .

Online history shows a lot of rail action so of course had to look closer.

Nothing but an open field now.



Original trackage faily extensive



But now hard to see any indications of even where the sidings may have gone off the mainline.



Of course curious what that circle was / is,,,,,,

Looking at those buildings, it's mind boggling to think how many jobs that place used to provide.

What's the date of that map?

Map is from ACME MAPPER so I don’t know..

One of those businesses that started in a two story building in late 1800’s and moved to NT employing at its peak 1500.
Closed in 50’s laying off 850.

Thanks for posting that info. My wife's grandfather worked there until the end of operations. I think he had 25 or 30 years in there.
