FYI,

You can pick up the 1947 Budd Diner that is currently stored in West Victor NY in early May. D.F. Barhhardt & Assoc. is auctioning off the Acadian Budd Rail Equipment & other pieces in the collection of the Denver Railway Car Company & apparently this piece is for sale as well. I would assume this is stored somewhere on the ONCT?

This car is stored with the other old equipment right in Victor,
right where that main road crosses the NYC line..(sorry..I cant find the name of the road..)directly south of the Insulator plant.

if you are coming down route 96 (going east) from Eastview mall toward Victor, turn right (south) at the main traffic light at the "main crossroads" of downtown victor..you will immiedetly cross over the LV, then down a few blocks you cross the NYC..the car is right there at the NYC crossing..

That would be on what's left of the NYC Auburn line in Victor on the Ontario Central Railroad. Be aware that it's posted private property. They're railfan friendly, but check in with the RR for a permission to look around first.

Actually, don't bother. The car left Victor (not West Victor) on March 30th and is now in Selkirk headed to join the other cars to be auctioned off in New England.

I believe it was the only ex-Amtrak car left there. There were others on the property several years ago (I believe part of the former "station" restauratnt in Pittsford) but they've since found new homes.

If you want to contact the ONCT, look up the number on the lalrr.com web site. Their office is located in the Victor Insulators factory in Victory, NY.
