BROOKHAVEN
MONTAUK BRANCH
BUILT: 1884, AGENCY CLOSED: 1932
DEPOT REMODELED 1944 (COVERED PLATFORMS REMOVED)
CLOSED AND DISCONTINUED AS STATION STOP: 10/6/58
BUILDING SOLD AND RELOCATED TO PRIVATE LOCATION: c. 1958-59

I had a newspaper article from 1958 from the Patchogue Advance that showed three stations the LIRR was going to sell: Eastport, East Moriches and Brookhaven.

The Brookhaven depot already had its covered platforms removed years earlier (1944) and the depot was just the typical rectangular wooden box when offered for sale.

I've seen the other two as they look in recent years, bit I've never seen Brookhaven after the move.

It would be nice if someone could get a shot and we can all see what it looks like 50 years after abandonment!
