I would like to Thank the NYSW, NS & Operation Life Saver for a very good program they did for the Boy Scouts in the Binghamton area Saturday morning.
NYSW hosted us as their offices in the Old D&H Station, NS and Operation Lifesaver did a presentation for the boys.
Then NYSW Employees took the boys out into the yard, and gave them a tour of Locomotive 3014.
The boys where very impressed with how big the locomotives are, they were thrilled to be able to get up in the cab, they have a much better feeling of what it would be like, and how little
visibility the engineers have.
I also had a very nice conversation with NYSW employees about the Utica Branch, and other tourism railroads in NYS.
