It was sad to see today ( 5/21/04 ) on the New England Cable News Network that Bombardier which made rail cars in Vermont has made the decision to make the closing of it's plant permanent. The plant had been inactive for about 18 months according to the network. This is bad news not only for railfans,but, more importantly the hundreds of workers that had been laid off with the hopes of returning to work at some point.
