does anyone knows the reason for rebuilding SD45-2 ( 7950 &7951 ) to SD40-2 standards ? My first thought was the fuel consumption of the SD45-2 but then I saw a fresh repainted SD45-2 ( 7952 ) , which became not rebuilt, so saving fuel can't be the reason. May be lack of spare parts or original motors for the SD45-2 ??
