Check this out. I'd love to see this engine back in New England at my local tourist railroad. Repaint would be easy to trace. But I'm just dreaming but I still figured others would appreciate seeing it.

I love how the original B&M lettering outlasted the Guilford paint.

Vermont Rail System has a couple of ex-B&M GP40-2s as well.

That was the B&M 307, delivered in '78. They were best new power the railroad ever bought and they were very proud of them, even naming some of them after famous people and railroaders. Here she is back "in the day".

It's bittersweet to see it as it is now. Nice that it still is around, but sad to see cosmetically,

On the D&H we have some of the sisters from this class. I have had one of them on local train SC-R (aka D44), which runs to the Batten Kill interchange in Eagle Bridge. In that case she got to even run over her old home rails.
Vermont Railways has a couple from the class too.

August issue of Trains Magazine, pg. 12 identifies US Rail Corp GP40 400 as originally BM 307. Considering that 307 was a GP40-2 and didn't have dynamic brakes, it appears that someone at Trains got their facts wrong?
