I was at P'Burg today and took a look at the new platform and switch. Looking forward to the ride and watching!

When will #142 get to P'burg? Via what route? Where will the Bel-Del store her this summer?

Lotta questions, I realize.

I'd read somewhere that #142 is usually stored/serviced at an ex-DLW facility in Utica NY, but after perusing my RR maps I can't find any easy way to get her from there to P'Burg...not without crossing Jersey twice.

Engine and coaches moved yesterday. Went through Broadway NJ around 12:45 yesterday Diesel in front and 142 under steam behind. 142 whistled crossing at Broadway Asbury Rd much to the enjoyment of the children on recess at Franklin Elementry School. Express Times has a color cover photo in Phillipsburg. Article states weekend train rides to Carpentersville to begin on May 1st.

Hi all. I visited the BR&W on June 25 for the first time since 1994. We rode the 10:45 a.m. train from Ringoes. I had a great time. Our locomotive was No. 1853. She was one fine looking unit! The station was nicely restored as well, as were the coaches. The only gripe(s) I had was that the interior of the coaches was old and worn in many places, and that the conductor informed us that the restoration of old No. 60 is slow and expensive an would likely take several more years. But with friendly crews who even helped us with chasing directions and a beautiful sunny day, how could I complain? :-D

An added bonus at Ringoes on Sept 23 was meeting "Strasburg Fan".
