The LIRR's second group of Century 420's, delivered in 1968: High-short hood, long hood-forward operation and the special Hi-Ad trucks. They were numbered 222-229, and were around until 1990 when they were sent to Naporano in New Jersey to be scrapped.

Supposedly these were to go to some deal in Suriname, what exactly was this about? (although i'm sure Naporano was so full of it)

Passenger: The PA1 or PA2... Hands down. Nothing, in my opinion before or after from any builder could match these beauties style wise.

Freight:
1. RS3
2. FA1 or FA2
3. C420
4. C636

Honorable mention: The entire rosters of GVT and the LA&L !

RS3 for sure. Or C636, what a brutish looking locomotive.

Thats exactly why I chose the C636. I always liked that brutish no nonsense "get out of my way" look!!
