Bay Colony Millis Line

The 1701 worked today. And I hear that CSX had a small derailment at Medfield Jct today. 6240? with a couple of axles off on the small
bridge at the junction switch.

...wasn't this portion of the Framingham Secondary just upgraded?

~30 yds on either side of the switch were not upgraded. This may be a bigger project than it looks as the small bridge has a 40 foot drop into an active stream AND the Needham/Siding Switch is only a shot distance away.

There are (1,000's) of new Tie's staged on the other end of Hospital Road. Gut feel is they will rebuild the Bridge, Switch to Millis, and rebuild the Siding all at one time when they proceed with Welded Rail.

Regarding GP40MC1118's comments about a derailment at Medfield, They have replaced the bridge and re-aligned the track and switch.
