Bay Colony hopper / boxcar?

Bay colony is recieving newly painted cars from Florida.

Is it how it looks, have they converted plug door boxcars, into covered hoppers, with the old roof acting as the removable cover?

Its one of the cars for the trash service to SEMASS. Check the Bay Colony section of the NERAIL site. Someone posted a series of photos about this operation a while back.
Short story is they load the cars with trash, bring them up off the cape to the SEMASS facility (in Southeastern MA.), the cars are flipped to empty them (this accounts for the unusual brackets on top), and the trash is burned.

Thanks for the info. I was all ready familiar with the Cape Cod Trash Train on a cursory level.

I was basically looking for more info on the start point of this type of Covered hopper, more then the route of it's travels.
