One of the more illuminating documents I've ever come across. Fascinating snapshot of service right before the full conversion to RDC cars.

Very interesting. I used to watch a lot of those trains at the gate tender's shanty on W. Wyoming Ave. in Melrose, MA. Some observations:

Boston-Lawrence back then was done in 27 minutes, no stops.
The only division that had food and parlor service was the Portland Division, from what I could tell.
There was a listing of a milk car from Enfield, NH to Lawrence. I wonder how that got from the New Hampshire Division over to Lawrence. The M&L?
I thought the Gull had a sleeper destined to Halifax, NS. This document shows it terminating in St. John, NB.

I didn't read the whole document. Was the Talgo Train in there?

Well the note says the Lawrence Milk Car got to Lawrence on Train #183 weekdays, 1003 Sundays. That means it went right into Boston. The Talgo had not yet arrived, Maginnis was not B & M President until a few months later.
