I came across this article recently about an intelligent movement planning system that Norfolk Southern Implemented.

Has anyone here seen this thing in action or know how well it works? Have any other railroads tried something similar? Seems like it could be a huge improvement in efficiency for some.

Note the article is from 2010. Haven't heard much about it. Was it involved in the NS meltdown in Northern Indiana during the Winter of 2014?
