Hey guys, what do they use to unload hoppers on that warehouse siding?
It's a portable conveyor belt that is situated below one bay of the hopper car. The highest part of the conveyor belt is high enough to fit a truck underneath it. Therefore, when the hopper bay is opened, the aggregate will ride up the belt into the truck trailer. The truck moves slowly to distribute the aggregate evenly in the trailer bed.
