We have this collection of photos that we inherited from the "old" RAILROAD.NET...

Would someone care to write a story about EL motive power? I think that would make these photos more meaningful if they had a text to go along with them.

What exactly do you want to know about the EL Otto?? I can go on and on about DL&W MU operations...

I thought you wanted captions for those pictures, Otto. If not, then what? But you have now changed to like'n it to a well: deep and undefined! Specifics, therefore,. But there are two EL websites already plus the DIAMOMD which have a lot of material.

Otto, I guess I should check out the EL forum more frequently. I recognize many of those photos as having been taken in Jamestown & Salamanca, NY. Actually, many of them can be found at a website titled "Brian F. Case's Railroad Photography". Check out:

In addition to what was mentioned previously in several postings, there is also the ELDCPS website, the internet magazine of the ELHTS available to members of that society, plus a number of supplementary articles by ELHS members on that organization's website.

henry6- I'm open to ideas- I'm not trying to duplicate the efforts of the other sites, just trying to develop new and interesting content for the site.

blockline4180- I'd love a story about MU operations. Contact me off-list, if you're interested!

Aa3rt - I'll check the web site you mentioned. We've had these photos since 1996, so I'll check into that.

RAS - Are you offering to write an article, or are you merely pointing me to already-published material?

Thanks everyone!

Have you considered contacting Brian Solomon?

I know Brian, he doesn't like to work for free! ;-) Besides, he's a little tied up with some book projects at the moment (that I am drawing maps for- go figure).
