Hello to all! I'm new to this List, and am an EL "West-End" fan, as well as a member of the ELHS. My "model railroad" I'm currently working on is a virtual creation using the Train Dispatcher/Track Builder software simulating the AC Tower interlocking and including the east-end of Marion Yard along with other short sections of the railroads that run thru Marion. The era the sim is based upon is 1971-72. When this one is finished, I may go back and do another based on the mid-1960's as well to include passenger traffic.
I have become very interested in Marion Yard while working on this project, and have been searching for an individual who has a good working knowledge of this yard. Those who worked in AC Tower have been a great help about the interlocking itself, but cannot help much w/yard operations as they were not involved with them.
Is there anyone on this List who would have good knowledge of how things worked in Marion Yard?
