There was no 48/49 in the summer of 2018 due to NY Penn Station work. The LSL ran only BOS-CHI as 448/449 the entire way (I rode it SYR-CHI in June 2018).

What's your point? The OP says he used a 2018 timetable to come up with his list of unused train numbers. I was explaining why in the Summer of 2018, 48/49 were not being used.

It's my understanding that #72 and #81 are being held by Amtrak for NC's 4th Piedmont schedule. NC already has 73 through 80 counting the Carolinian. Source: A. Paul at NCDOT Rail Div.

It helps to research the subject matter you are using. It turns out the best movies are the ones closest to the source material.

That said, I'm using 981 and 980, as it's technically a special move with specialty equipment.

Everybody forgot the now dead Broadway Ltd Train #'s 40 ,41 and 440,441 the DC-H-burg section of the Broadway
