The tv programme "american restoration" on the history channel will air a new episode this Wednesday, 10 pm est.

The teaser featured some vintage locomotives and other railroad equipment. It had steam and diesel.

Well that was a huge letdown, I saw nothing to do with trains aside from the auto racks in the opening credits as usual.

So the second episode on now looks like it has more railroad stuff going on, they are restoring a gunnite mixer.

They do some great restoration work, but they play too much to the camera. Try too hard to be funny.

So many reality shows like this today. Some are better than others.

They also restored an air brake tester and a strongbox. I agree that they do nice work.

Off subject, but one of the best jobs they did was to restore that '56 Matchless motorcycle. I had a '64, a rare bike for sure.
