All rush-hour and night trains cancelled today on certain NJT lines - labor dispute??

What's going on? Some kind of job action by the engineers' union, if the NJ.com article is correct. Sounds like a lot of commuters stranded on Friday afternoon.

How long will it go on for is my question.

I was flying into LaGuardia earlier tonight (landed at 630p) and was on my way to Penn to catch a train home to my folks' place in Garwood. Got a text from my father saying you need to be on the 805p Dover train to get home tonight and I was all confused...normally if I can't get a good connection to a RVL train, I'll just go to Rahway.

I was surprised that Penn at 755p was completely empty, as was the 805p Dover train.
