Alert! E/B Lake Shore has L&N car on rear end 10/9

Eastbound Lake Shore Ltd. was by CP 367 on the Rochester Sub at 1016. Had a Louisville and Nashville passenger car (Ohio Viewer?) on the rear end. Got a good look at it since it was moving at about 15 mph.

Anyone have any info on this move?

I caught that same car heading west, here in Depew, NY about a year ago. I beleave it to be a private owner. Here are some pics:

This car was on the WNY&P two years ago when they reopened the line from Olean to Wellsville.

A friend of mine saw the same 2 cars in Chicgo, IL last Thersday Morning on his way back to Syracuse, NY via Flag Staff, AZ.

The two private cars you saw on the rear of Amtrak # 48 which departed Chicago on OCT 7th are MOUNT VERNON and OHIO RIVER.

OHIO RIVER is a former L&N business car, freshly repainted in L&N colors.

MOUNT VERNON is a six bedroom lounge converted from a UP/Amtrak 10 & 6 sleeper, in natural (unpainted) Budd stainless steel.

They were deadheading home (M & E Railway) after:

Participating in the annual Railway Suppliers Conference in Chicago.

Operating a Whitefish - Seattle - Portland - Whitefish charter for a Montana cattle rancher.
